What is Flag Day on Newsfeed - June 14th is the 150th anniversary of Flag Day! Yay… See back in 1861 a few rowdy homeboys from the Hartford Evening Press were like let’s celebrate the flag of our country and all countries with a festival the likes of which would make Caligula green with envy. Seriously, that was their plan for Flag Day… So… 150 years later that’s exactly how we celebrate Flag Day, wake up early get hammered off Samuel Adams Flag Day Ale, run naked through the streets donning our favorite flag and hopefully end up in an orgy! Or nobody even remembers it and lawmakers make it mandatory to hang an American flag outside government buildings, which I think is already mandatory. You're a grand ol'flag, you're a high flying flag and forever in peace may you wave. June 14 is Flag Day! Yay America! That means that government buildings are required to fly a flag outside of their building. Don't they do that anyway?
