What is Ascension Day on Newsfeed - Happy Ascension Day everybody! So what is Ascension day? Well, its the Thursday, 40 days after Easter Sunday, where Christians celebrate Jesus ascending into heaven. The ascension is believed to take place at Mount Olivet in Jerusalem. There, you can find the the Ascension rock which is said to bear the imprint of Jesus's right foot as he ascended. Wow. I guess it's kinda like the Mann's Chinese Theater and all those celebrity handprints. I wonder how big Jesus's foot is? You know what they say… Gods with big feet… have big…followings.Ascension Day is officially celebrated on the 40th day of Easter. It honors Jesus Christ's ascension into heaven, according to the New Testament of the Bible.
