The swelling, redness and ulcerations of the lining of our rectum, which is the last six inches of our large intestine, is described to be Ulcerative Proctitis. Because the disease causes formation of sores or ulcers on the inner lining of the rectum, the word ulcerative is actually used. Should I be worried if Im suffering from this disease?Possibly, I think. Although it can affect many of us adolescents and adults, it is mostly common among men around the age of 30.
