Hairless female Baboon

Posted by joollyunder on Jan. 31, 2013

Hairless female spotted alone in the bush after being rejected by her troop. Totally bald and all alone, its no wonder that this baboon has such a long face. The four foot tall hairless female was found wandering around the African bush by a British housewife in Zimbabwe. While she should be with her sociable troop of baboons out looking for food, this poor animal appears to have no friends. The rare naked baboon was spotted by 65-year-old Ann Warner, while she explored the countryside of her adopted home with a group of friends. Baboons are found throughout central and southern Africa, living in troops of up to 250. They are not endangered, although as their forest and plains habitat has been developed by humans they have come into conflict with people.
