Gutter Fires

Posted by gutterhelmet on Aug. 05, 2011

Keeping clean gutters isnt always a pleasant chore. But gutters that become filled with leaves, branches and debris can often dry out, especially in arid climates. When this debris dries out, it can act as tinder when forest fires occur. Hot embers from major fires can carry up to a mile in the wind, and often start smaller blazes when they land. Gutters filled with dried leaves, branches and debris can catch these embers, where fires begin next to a home. Keeping clean house gutters can prevent this type of devastating occurrence, so cleaning gutters is a terrific chore to keep up on.
