Felix Baumgartner Skydives From Over 18 Miles Above New Mexico?

Felix Baumgartner, a 43-year-old Austrian skydiver jumped from a capsule attached to a helium-filled balloon at an altitude of 96,640 feet on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, executing a free fall of 3 minutes and 48 seconds, and reaching speeds of 536 mph. Wearing a pressurized space suit which prevented the fluids in his body from vaporizing, Baumgartner landed safely in the desert near Roswell, N.M. standing on his feet, and walked forward with a big grin on his face.
