Ebay to Slash Listing Fees

The reason for the move is that Ebay wants to change their entire business model from the associated auction-style marketplace to a fixed rate, buy-now store. Ebay's hope is that cutting their fees will increase the inventory of items sold through the site, which will ultimately increase their revenue. And there's more trouble brewing for Steve Jobs and company. Apple admitted that its iPod Nano has had problems with smoking and sparking, an issue caused by overheating batteries. Apple said they will replace first generation Nanos, along with MacBook and MacBook Pro MagSafe power cords, which have had problems melting and ripping. And in the Online video world, video advertising network Tremor Media released figures showing that 80-percent of its users watch pre-roll ads all the way through.
