David B. Mueller suggests that no summer in the middle west of North America would be complete without fresh and delicious sweet corn on the cob topped off with some butter and salt. David B. Mueller gets pretty excited about the images his mind draws up when he samples freshly picked sweet corn. Muellers ears of corn almost seem like his best buddies. While he knows that there is a cultural and historical phenomenon that has grown around the cultivation and consumption of sweet corn in the middle west of the United States, he wonders what people in other cultures, say Jamaica, for example, think about these customs related to sweet corn
