Cessna 182RG Gear up landing

Posted by av8rdav on Mar. 12, 2007

This is not me flying! Im not even in the plane. If I was that beeping sound is called the gear warning horn. When the throttle is pulled back to a low setting a switch on the control closes and completes the circuit for the horn to sound. This horn WILL NOT sound if the landing gear is DOWN. These pilots must be deaf, because in my training and teaching every retract Ive flown, you can hear the horn even with earplugs and a headset on. Pilot forgot to put the landing gear down. This is video from the back seat. Short final to scraping down the runway.
