They're connected/attached by the little black line on the loop, once the car meets with the line it makes the car attached to the track... so yeah its fake...
the little black lines on the loop track are not attached. they do help the car through the loop but not to attach them. They are guides to move the cars towards the center of the exit of the loops because if the cars were to continue going straight without turning they would drive right off of the loop and land on the roof of the car
i thought the same thing.. i think there going decently fast.. another thing though is they are insanely light.. u can tell by the one bouncing so easily with stiff suspension..

That seemed strangely anticlimactic to me.
