For some reason I could immagine how he felt the moment he heard his board get stuck under the railing. The taste of danger would enter his mouth and nose, the terrifying reality that the laws of nature cannot be violated and he has enough momentum to cause serious damage to his body. He suddenly realizes he is the helpless victime of his own abuse of nature and its unforgiving laws.
