Are you in the market for a brand new fighter jet? If so, this video is for you! The Russian Ministry of Defense has just published a glitzy ad for its impressive line of Sukhoi Su-35 jet in the hopes that foreign governments will opt to buy from Moscow instead of any other pesky nuclear powers.
The video, which was filmed in cooperation with the Russian Air Force, features a test pilot pulling off some impressive moves with the Sukhoi Su-35s, a single-seat air superiority fighter manufactured by Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Production Association (KnAAPO for short).
So far, the Russian government has desperately been trying to sell its 98 Su-35s’s to a countries like India, China, South Korea, Brazil, and Indonesia, but only China has taken the bait – making a bid for 24 fighter jets in 2015. Indonesia may also purchase anywhere from eight to ten of the $40 to $65 million planes.
Since the Su-35s is not a stealth fighter, it requires the pilot to be far more skilled in targeting and evasive maneuvers to be effective when compared to other competitors on the market.
The jet is capable of both air-to-air and ground-based combat, as it can be equipped with a 30mm cannon, rockets, missiles, and/or bombs.
