Police Helps Teen Ask Girl To Prom By Faking Drug Bust

Nothing says “will you go to prom with me?” quite like scaring the bejeezus out of your teenage sweetheart, but that’s exactly what this Georgia high school student did. With the help of police, the enterprising youngster spun a fake arrest into clever prom proposal.

Dashcam footage shows an officer pulling over the teenage couple in a white pickup truck. The cop flexes his acting skills and proceeds to grill the teen, first asking for his license and registration before raising the stakes.

He claims that the vehicle has been flagged because somebody driving the car within the last six months was suspected of possessing narcotics, so the officer has both driver and passenger exit the car as he performs a search.

Before long, he gives the boy one last chance to confess his sins before putting him in handcuffs. The cop then produces a bag which supposedly contains marijuana and asks the girlfriend if it’s hers, but she nervously denies having anything to do with it.

Upon closer inspection, the girl finally realizes that the so-called drug is actually some sort of prom proposal. After recovering from her state of shock, she accepts the prom invitation – probably a smart move when her suitor is carrying a sign that says “Say Yes or You’re Under Arrest.”
