New Twin Peaks Trailer Will Pique Your Interest In The Much-Anticipated Revival

It’s only fair to feel like a “Twin Peaks” revival is too good to be true, especially one that brings back much of the original cast under the genius minds of Mark Frost and David Lynch. The new trailer, which was released this weekend by Showtime, should hopefully dispel that notion.

True to form, the 30-second clip raises more questions than it answers. We get a glimpse of many familiar locations, including some nostalgic (the Twin Peaks Sheriff Department, the Roadhouse, the Double R Diner) and some that aren’t so nice (an eerily-empty Black Lodge, the fog-covered forest, the Palmer family home).

We also get a shout-out to “Fire Walk With Me” in the form of the Fat Trout Trailer Park, briefly the home of Teresa Banks. Although Teresa certainly factored into the plot of the TV series, she played a much more prominent role in the movie prequel.

“Twin Peaks” makes its triumphant return on May 21 on Showtime at 9:00 pm ET/PT. It will run for an 18-hour limited event that will be kicked off with a two-hour premiere.
