Buckle your seat belts: Breitbart News editor Milo Yiannopoulos actually sat down with notorious HBO liberal Bill Maher and, believe it or not, no one was harmed in the making of this production.
“Look, I think you’re colossally wrong on a number of things,” Maher said.
“That’s okay,” Milo interjected.
“Exactly! If I banned everyone from my show who I thought was colossally wrong, I would be talking to myself,” Maher concluded.
Wait… was that… civil discourse in America in 2017 by two people whose political beliefs are diametrically opposed?
Maher and Milo even found common ground in the belief that modern-day liberals are too easily “taking the bait” – or getting triggered, as Milo preferred to describe it – from dissenting voices like Milo who dare to express inflammatory opinions.
They also agreed on the fact that actual authoritarian governments are keen to squash out humor and laughter because “they can’t control it,” Milo opined, “and also, because when people laugh, they know it’s true,” Maher chimed in.
There were a few points of contention: Maher didn’t appreciate Milo going after Lena Dunham, a fellow HBO alum thanks to her hit show “Girls,” for instance, and he attempted to draw the line between “comedy,” and making jokes that “hurt people.”
Toward the end of the interview, Maher destroyed his fellow lefties for literally shaking so much about Milo. “Stop taking the bait, liberals!” he said to uproarious applause from the audience.
