Not the momma: That second squirrel was not the mother. Think it was probably a child squirrel molester, done kidnapped the little squirrel baby to take him back to the love nest. How did I know it wasn't the mom? I saw his nuts.

That is nice: And sara...I don't think squirrels are carnivorous, and not all that many animals are cannibalistic. Just saying! Then again, a lot of animals eat their babies sometimes...

@will0mon Actually: If you look it up, there was an article (i think on MSNBC) about black squirrels in Russia that stayed far after the nuts had gone (winter) and resorted to eating a sickly dog
