The owner of a Tennessee cell phone store is out a wad of cash after an armed man waltzed in under the guise that he needed a new device – only to instead whip out a gun and demand money.
The incident took place at a Wireless Z in Nashville, Tennessee at around 11:30 am on Saturday, when surveillance footage shows the culprit entering the store where several customers were already shopping.
According to the owner, the suspect inquired about phones and claimed that his was broken. He then acted as if he was going to retrieve his phone from his pocket, but instead pulled out a firearm and said, “Come up with the money!”
The owner did not put up a fight and quickly handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect, who stashed the money in his pocket and promptly left the scene.
Now, police are hoping that the CCTV video helps the public to identify the robber.
