Feel-Good Scene Where Cops Work Together To Free Deer Caught In Fence

Sometimes, our friendly woodland creatures need a helping hand just like everyone else. A deer in Wisconsin who got stuck in a wrought-iron fence was rescued by two sheriff’s deputies recently.

Dashcam footage obtained from one of the deputy’s cruisers shows the poor animal struggling to break free after his hind legs apparently got caught between fence posts after a failed attempt at the 5-foot jump.

The deputies can be seen assessing the situation before moving in to free the trapped deer. The first officer unsuccessfully attempts to hoist its legs up and away from the fence, but it is not until the two deputies join forces that they manage to set the deer free, sending it plopping to the ground.

Within moments, the deer springs back up and runs off with its tail in the air, slipping several times before regaining its footing and heading into the night. According to the responding officers, it did not appear to have suffered any injuries.
