Someone either paid a lot of attention in the police academy or plays a lot of Grand Theft Auto. Satisfying footage out of Minnesota shows the moment when a state trooper pulled off a perfect PIT (precision immobilization technique) maneuver to end a high-speed chase without anyone getting seriously hurt.
The incident took place when St. Paul cops began pursuing a stolen vehicle down Interstate 35. Minnesota State Troopers took over when the suspect exited the city limits.
Eventually, the suspect attempted to take a highway exit, but a speedy state trooper was not about to let that happen. He can be seen pulling up next to the vehicle before slamming into the side of the car, causing it to spin out.
The 27-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, fleeing police in a motor vehicle, and an active warrant. His female passenger was released without facing any charges. No word has surfaced as to whether either of them suffered any injuries in the collision, but the crash looked pretty painless, all things considered.
