Cop Pulls Over Another Cop For DUI And Then Things Get Really Awkward

Even though this Milwaukee police officer was arrested for drunkenly driving home from a New Year’s Eve party, dashcam footage from the one-of-a-kind traffic stop has revealed that the DUI sting might have been personal. Milwaukee Police Officer Michael Boden was pulled over in the early morning of January 1 after a deputy noticed his truck swerving in and out of traffic. When the deputy tried to administer a field sobriety test on Boden, things got weird.

“I’m not gonna do that,” Boden says, and when the deputy asks him if he really wants to refuse to cooperate with the sobriety test, the inebriated officer fires back: “I’m not refusing. I’m not doing it.”

The plot thickens when the deputy and Boden begin to discuss that they have “been down this road before,” suggesting that the pair have a history of working together or having found each other at opposite sides of the law.

“Is this payback?” Boden asks; the deputy says it isn’t. Later, Boden seems to think that the deputy is somebody named “Andy,” which is not the deputy’s name.

In a statement, the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office announced that Boden will be subject to internal disciplinary proceedings and could also get slapped with a misdemeanor charge for having a firearm in his car while intoxicated.
