the gas is called sf6, or sulfur hexaflouride. it's an inert gas that is heavier than air, does not support combustion, and does not allow electricity to arc through it. it's used in very sensitive high voltage radar equipment. also, IT WILL KILL YOU. it does this the same way water will drown you. it's heavier than air, so it will collect in your lungs and replace all the oxygen and you will drown. i know this because i work with it every day.

this sucks
Waddle13 - 2 years ago
It can be done with with any of the tons of gases that are heavier than air. Just google gas densities.

@usafshrek kinda like how I work with your mom every day.

@usafshrek yeah ok, nerd. thats the worst pick up line ive ever heard. your going to have to do better than that if you wanna get into these knickers

its acetalyne gas: its da stuff u mix wit oxygen for a blow torch
Pete3000 - 2 years ago
how fake is this: the foil boat sunk before he poured the last cupfull of gas in

@Pete3000 <_< are you serious....
doublekuntz - 2 years ago
@Pete3000 i think he is serious.........ly retarded.
keebs_tsar - 3 years ago
@Pete3000 yeah he was serious...haha wow.
almightyPEACHES - 2 years ago
it could be: C2F6 or BCL3 well then again its got to have a low health hazzard obviously so possibbly an inert like N2O oh you know NF3 is a heavy bastard but then it would'nt really be safe.
TrentMcM - 2 years ago
its like the opposite of helium.: helium allows for sound waves to move quicker and faster then in oxygen, because it's lighter than oxygen; which creates the high pitch voice that we all did at birthday parties. but very few people actually know that there's another gas (like the one in the video) that is heavier than oxygen, and when inhaled, creates long low souch waves, and makes you sound like lucifer.
blueS2000 - 2 years ago
@TrentMcM yeah but: what is the point of this gas? to make subs sink?
Foreordinator - 2 years ago
@TrentMcM so you've heard the the desolate one's voice before? :)
Morgszz - 2 years ago
Hmmm: What is that gas? Thats so cool.
Wow!: That's some niffty stuff. I wonder if we use it for anything productive...
willyarrr - 2 years ago
so: where can i get that gas?
username5540 - 2 years ago
wow: does it really matter what kind of gas they use ... it was cool , the end
meat_brownies - 2 years ago
@username5540 i: agree dont over analize stuff
Swirnoff - 2 years ago
@username5540 absolutely imperative to know the type: and its exact formula
loungefan1 - 2 years ago
It's not Argon OR sulfur hexafluoride..: they used Fart Gas.
Ferraro - 2 years ago
@loungefan1 lol: :P
@loungefan1 if that was true: we'd never smell farts, buddy

ill bet all the ladies: say hes fast
togeta - 2 years ago
it is sulfur hexafluoride: i saw a guy on jay leno do this. cringer53 is also correct when he says it makes you sound demonice. try to find the jay leno video about this. the guy explains what it is and why it does what it does
Cringer53 - 2 years ago
Not argon at all: its sulfur hexafluoride...and thats not the only cool thing it does, it has the opposite effect helium. makes you voice sound kinda demonic.
imfree - 2 years ago
most likely that it was argon gas: that stuff is pretty dense compared to oxygen and other gases. and could probably hold tin foil up.
brmifo13 - 2 years ago
Not Strings or a Magnet: It's a gas called sulfur hexafluoride, it's a colorless, non-toxic and very dense gas that is heavier than water.
NoControl1678 - 2 years ago
@brmifo13 close: it is about 6 times denser than air. if it were heavier than water why would they need the cover? would you cover a tank you were filling with water so the water doesn't float away?
Sandos - 2 years ago
could also just be a magnet: stuck under the table?:p
TheGasMaskGuy - 2 years ago
@Sandos Since when was aluminium: magnetic?
WildBoar07 - 2 years ago
@Sandos my thoughts: exactly
@Sandos that is,: that aluminum isnt magnetic
