When Bengals cornerback Pacman Jones was arrested in early January on a slew of assault-related charges, he told reporters that he was confused why he got into trouble at all and expressed confidence that the charges would be quickly dropped.
New footage from his arrest proves that Jones was incredibly aggressive and belligerent with the arresting officer. The clip, which features Jones in the back of a police cruiser, shows the NFL player tell Sgt. Jarrod Cotton, “I hope you die tomorrow,” along with a string of profanities laced throughout.
When Jones learns that he faces two misdemeanor charges, he tells Cotton: “Suck my d*ck, how about that?”
In all, Jones hurled upwards of 30 crude remarks at Cotton throughout the full 18-minute video. He was arrested on January 3 for allegedly assaulting a security employee of the Downtown Millennium Hotel and for disorderly conduct.
In a statement, the Bengals apologized for Jones’s behavior, while Jones himself claimed that he was “deeply embarrassed and remorseful for his conduct and language after being arrested in early January.”
