Brave Woman Escapes Kidnapper By Jumping Out Of Trunk While Car Is Moving

An Alabama woman narrowly avoided a potentially grisly fate by escaping from a kidnapping attempt in the most dramatic way. Surveillance footage shows the woman jumping out of the trunk of a moving car and sprinting to safety as her captor drives off.

According to authorities, the 25-year-old victim was abducted outside of her Birmingham apartment at around 10:30 pm. The suspect had approached her and demanded money, and when she didn’t have enough cash, he instead snatched her phone and wallet and threw her into the trunk of his car.

He then drove to a gas station several miles away, where he apparently tried to use her bank card to withdraw cash while keeping the victim locked in the trunk. As the culprit began to drive away, the woman seized the opportunity to pop the trunk handle and jump out, landing on the cement with a painful thud.

According to gas station owner Yosef Alsabah, the woman had suffered minor injuries and was in a state of panic, clutching onto Alsabah’s shotgun even after he had safely hidden her in a secure back room.

The kidnapper is still at large. Police released a photo of the suspect and are hoping that the public helps to identify him.
