The Real Iraq: The Syrian Border

tour to Iraq which takes place in a little town called Walid, right on the Syran border. Our job was to patrol the town, and provide security and oversight for the Iraqi Customs Police. We caught and detained many potential and actual insurgents trying to come through to Iraq from Syria. The Iraqi and Palestian children made this tour one of my most memorable.
