1949 - North Atlantic Treaty (NATO)

http://www.WatchMojo.com looks back at the 20th Century. In 1949 on April 4th, four ministers from more than 10 nations signed the North Atlantic Treaty, thus founding Nato. The treaty signified that in the event one country was attacked, it was an attack against all of them.
