Wow that is very informative. I think that I learned a lot from watching this video. You people should really take this seriously. I mean...this guy is giving us VERY valuable information...even though I was paying $1.69/gal a little while ago, which hasn't happened in like, or I don't know 8 years or so...But anyway. I didn't know that the oil companies didn't want us to know how to double our gas mileage. I mean changing the spark plugs and wires and oil and stuff is one thing, but putting things th

It's really sad how little most of you know about your vehicle. Changing plugs, wires, filter, and oil isn't optional it is required

I did my research and this is what I found: "Acetone can also dissolve many plastics, including those used in Nalgene bottles made of polystyrene, polycarbonate and some types of polypropylene" So as I was saying, Acetone CAN dissolve plastic and many of the components in modern fuel systems ARE made of plastic. Yes i know gasoline is a solvent and it can also melt things but it is not nearly as volatile as pure acetone.

@Vash07 Cost of spark plugs, oil filter , oil change ....... : $150 Money saved by increasing MPG :$4.82 Fckin Moron

Acetone is extremely bad in cars not designed for bio fuels... If you did you research, you'd know that acetone eats away at all your rubber hoses and seals...
kngrojak - 2 years ago
congratulations!: you spent 100 bucks on plugs wires and oil n filters just to save $7 on a fill up! you fuckin loser!!!

Use Acetone: I've used Acetone for almost 3 years. Latest vehicle is a 2005 Chrysler Sebring that GOT 26.2 mpg and now gets 30+/- consistently. Look into it... before the price of a gallon of Acetone goes up!

Don't bring ethanol into this: Tests show the only difference between a flex fuel engine (one that is "safe" to burn ethanol) and a non flex fuel engine (one that doesn't recommend burning ethanol) is the injectors. And it's not the material that is different, it's the size. Ethanol is a lower BTU fuel than regular unleaded gasoline and requires more fuel for similar power results. Ethanol won't hurt your engines internals.....

i doubled: my gas mileage by just riding with other people. WTF?

You can remove those pesky air bags, seat belts and doors: to save additional weight. Come to think of it, I can wear goggles and remove the windshield too. Then I will kick your fat sister to the curb and I will really be saving fuel.
Don't put Acetone in your engine.: If its not made to go into your engine, don't put it into your engine. Acetone melts plastic. There are various parts of your fuel system made of plastic, such as the float on your fuel pump that tells your fuel gauge how much fuel is in your tank. Not to mention what it will do to rubber fuel lines, and to components in your injector(s) depending on the type of FI you have.
1tomini - 2 years ago
@Vash07 and gas: doesn't melt plastic? Your float in your fuel pump made of plastic? Do more more research.
bigrigtrucker383 - 2 years ago
@Vash07 im pretty sure: gas will melt some plastics too. there are a lot of plastics out there that hold acids like sulfuric acid and that doesn't melt you dumbass
jeffthehammer - 2 years ago
@Vash07 What kind of bottle does acetone come in?......Oh yeah plastic retard.
bacalaohombre - 2 years ago
if you're fat: just lost some weight
caprandom - 2 years ago
none: of those BS additives have ever been proven to give you any more mpg. Save yourself the trouble of destroying you engine long-term and dump your suv.
quadrazer - 2 years ago
uhhh.....ok: So what happens when the acetone breaks down the rubber fuel lines and O-rings on the injectors? It will dry them out over the long run. All the other tips are useful.
