  I would also have done the same thing.: I think the kick was enough that the dog took him seriously and decides he better quit while he is ahead. The other officer probably assumed he was coming at him and in self defense, tazed him. The dog is very lucky to be alive.

  OK, I just watched it four times after seeing it once and posting my below comment: and am convinced that the dog wasn't trying to do any real harm, stance of the dog was not agressive, his tail was wagging and not tucked under like in a fight. After he jumped on the cop once, he was kinda uninterested in him anymore, an agressive dog would not have done that, he would have went right back. But you can't blame the cop for making a split second decision. Would have done the same thing. At least he used a ta
