the rotation of the blades: can be easily modeled as a cosine or sine function. All that needs to be done is find the specific frequency and match it with the frames per second captured by the camera and you get this illusion.

@LazyLinkYeah..: Just leave the ”cosine or sine” the heck alone.. don’t know that you are old enough to use them terms yet.. and we don’t want nobody getting hurt now, do we..?

Camera work: All they did was set the frmaes per second to the same rpm of the blades so each time the camera recodred the blades would be in the same spot and thets why th eback one is still moving. because when you wan tto turn the helicopter the back blades have a speed up or slow down.

@ASS101Funny..: Cause the main and tail rotors are interconnected, meaning their rotational velocities are proportional.. You might want to think a little harder, a little longer and I’m sure it’ll come to you..

@ASS101mangemang: You need to think a little harder before you look as stupid as you do in public. Ever heard of gears? The tailrotor spins at the rate it needs to to generate the side thrust required to overcome the torque of the main rotor.

@ASS101Mouhahah..: Well “Yeeees, Louise..” Did you just have your first period? I don’t think it’s “think harder” for you.. but rather “shut up more”.. It’s actually the angle of attack of the rotor blades that determine the thrust. When the thrust increases, the velocity of the blades in fact momentarily decreases.. YES, the opposite of what “ASS 101” is implying.. and you were saying??

Magic??: Then how come you can see the back ones spinning? Seems staged to me.

I don't even think it's the shutterspeed: my bet is it's not even a real helicopter. It's a model
