One of the most popular downloads this week was “Spore: Origins,” a minimal version of the critically acclaimed video game “Spore,” which is selling out all over the country. In “Origins,” you can use your iPhone's accelerometer to tilt your strange and unique and self customized creature to safety through a treacherous path. It's not nearly as deep as the full version of “Spore,” but very few games are since civilizations. But “Origins” is fun, has a great control scheme that lets you use the touchscreen to stretch and squeeze your customizable creature, and, at $9.99, worth the download.
