  They are both right.: For what Bear was doing, trying to get out of his situation, drinking his own urine was the right thing to do for a short period of time. For what Survivor man was doing, just trying to survive, his way would have helped but not for a long period of time. Not enough to drink. Yes Bear has a camera crew with him, but they are not supposed to interfere unless it is a life or death situation. And yes, Survivor man brings his own camera equipment with him, but he is mostly just trying

  Bear Grylls: The very First Episode of Bear Grylls he had to survive a float down some fast rappids, ok.. so he says hes going to use his "Backpack" as a flotation device, however, under his OVERSIZED sweatshirt, was low and behold..... a Lifevest! yea.. not too obvious! I like watchin them both, but survivor man is more accurate.

  last night: i saw the video were bear crossed the volva bridge right next to the public road, and all night i was trying to reason it, and the only thing i can come up with his that was just an extra shot to fill up air time, i mean, the show is an hour long, maybe they didnt have that much fotage. I think survivor man is better, but bear is more entertaining

  Survivor man is a poser;: What credentials does he have, who is with him to say he doesn't use any of the crap he has with him? No one is, we just have to take his word, and what he filmed. Bear has a film crew (witnesses) watching him.

    @treadheavyYes: and helping him , and setting up his camp that he sleeps in after he sets up the fake one for the camera , or they make the reservations and the motel 6 so when done filming for the day they got back and have a good nighst sleep .

  He is right: In outdoor life they had a section about survival and they said that urine was a good way to conserve water, and it's safe. Piss is actually sterile

  on this very episode of survivorman: you can claerly see when he reaches down to pick up the turtle, there is an FRS (family radio service) radio on his back. Editors forgot that one. They BOTH cheat!
