Combined 60 mph: The southbound train (out the window) blew his (red) signal at 22 mph. The NB train (with camera) breaking into the turnout at 38. Conductor on SB train tested for coke. SB Engineer error was final determination.

Now , couldn't they have avoid this accident::: by shifting into reverse or something? Those trains must be expensive, and the owners must get pissed off when they wreck them. Does the drivers have train insurance?

@railroad2 Reverse?: Trains take a couple miles to stop. It's like trying to stop cousin Eddie's dog from humping your leg...A word of warning though: If he does lay into you, it's best to just let him finish.
