Kojak: I know people post on here all the time saying they are close to the video or whatever but really and truthfully my father was a Blue Angel from 1987 to 1990. He was also on the selection board for this latest team. According to ODAT a bird was sucked into the intake... That isnt entirely true. At the end of a show the solos have to loop back around to the back of the show to meet up with the diamond and form the Delta formation. Most likely since 6 didnt eject it wasnt a mechanical issue. the manuever to rejoin the team can result in over 10 g's and may have placed 6 in g lock rendering him unconscious. Regardless of the why and how the fact remains that we have lost a great pilot and true American. God rest his soul.

Lt Cmdr. Kevin J. Davis: From Pittsfield, Ma. Collective wisdom from the Air Station says it was most probably a bird that was sucked into the engine, because he lost power in half the aircraft, so they say. The reports about clipping trees and power lines are true, however he was already in trouble when that happened. Catastrophic mechanical failure of some kind was the cause. NTSB and Naval investigators are on site as I type (4/24 1825 hrs). We will know soon. God give the families and friends pea
