who cares: its an act , i know so many GIs that have done repeated tours and tried to help civilians only to have them turn around and throw rocks and shoot at them. they try not to hurt people but when kids start hucking hand grenades the lines blur.

One day war!: We should have NUKED the place the day after 9/11. One US solder’s life isn’t worth anything in that county. F’em! Pull out and nuke that sandbox today. WOMD you say? Lets give them a demo.
mrwooby - 2 years ago
@MaxLoder you mean Afganistan, right: Iraq had nothing to do with 911 and where is there wmd's
Mick777 - 2 years ago
@MaxLoder hey dumbass: if the US even did so much and drop one unjustified nuke in Afghanistan, almost every part of the UN would be so far up their ass they'ed be shitting rainbows for a week. and mrwooby was right, it was Iraq you stupid motherfucker. so shut the fuck up and learn some goddamn politics

Oh, and before you claim that my "support for my president" has blinded me...: I don't like Bush. I didn't vote for him, and don't feel that he should have been President. He has a lack of general sophistication and knowledge that I feel every President should have, and I think it gives the US a worse image than we already have. However, I love my country and support our troops, and hope they all come home soon.
tablizok001 - 2 years ago
@Shadow678 I do support your troops: but not the reason that they were sent there for. I don't wish harm upon anybody. I have an uncle who is in the marines and will be heading over to Iraq for the third time, and every time he gets on a plane to go there, plenty of my close relatives can't help but fear for his life. It's quite understandable that you feel the way you do.
As for why there are more civillian deaths than anything else?: Perhaps because the insurgents TARGET the civillians on a regular basis? Yes, some non-military have been killed by troops from ALL foreign countries in Iraq, not just the US, but not enough to even come close to a reasonable comparison to those killed by suicide bombers and insurgent raids.
While I agree that using WMDs as an excuse to invade Iraq was sketchy at best...: It does NOT mean that it shouldn't have been done. And I find it appalling that every other country, particularly those closer to the conflicts in the east, would sit back and watch Saddam and his regime gas Kurds and throw them into mass graves in numbers too horrific to accept. There are plenty of Iraqis that want us there...

AFTER THE GULF WAR, THE U.S.WAS GIVEN THE AUTHORITY: and responsibility to overthrow Saddam if he did not allow UN inspectors(sorta like Nevil Chamberlin) . Saddam continued to throw out inspectors. The U.S. continued to do nothing. So, after 17 new UN resolutions, the U.S. finally decided to do something. that is the primary reason the U.S. congress voted for a war resolution. the secondary was for crimes against humanity (2 million dead, and still paying $25,000 to the families of palistinian suicide bomb

Very moving.: You will never see anything like this on television. It's images like this that help people to understand the real gravity that war brings on people's lives. It's embarassing to read comments by people who wil continue to support our systematic destruction of any means of peace in the middle east. To quote spandexter, "I guess it's hard to : talk some slaves into Freedom." The funny part about that quote is that those apposed to the war are expressing their free will. They are not being
xcal01 - 2 years ago
why are there more civilans dead then insurgents?: WHAT ARE YOU. A DUMB ASS. CAUSE INSURGENTS ARE OUT TO KILL CIVILANS. THAT IS 10.91 CIVILANS FOR EVERY SUICIED BOMBER. KNOW WHAT THAT IS RIGHT. YA DUMB ASS. HUSSIEN KILLED 2 MILLION.
sheep?: ok, mr. individuality, explain to us what you're trying to say. By NOT fighting the war, how much "MORE" than 700 Billion dollars will the country's tax-payers be paying?
@tablizok001 9/11: was a completely different issue rather than finding Hussein for his crime against humanity. Instead of focusing on finding Bin Laden and ending all problems that have to do with him, Bush decided to "multi-task". Now, he's about to decide whether or not to send more troops down to Iran because of this British soldiers being kidnapped issue. It was never about the safety of the American people, it was just about showing who has more man-power. "We have nicer stuff, so we should probably fight it ove
you're love for your country: is what blinds you from believing these things. Before the war, suicide bombers did exist, yes, after the war started, what happens? A rise in terrorist activity. What exactly was the primary cause of invading Iraq? Weapons of mass destruction. Where are they now? You're blinded by your patriotism, you're blinded by your support for your "president", you're blinded...by ignorance. Is it much better for Iraq to be under Bush's "regime", rather than Hussein's? Where's Iraq's dem
@tablizok001 yes: i would rather be under bush's order. he doesn't make people walk a plank off of three or four story buildings. he didn't out-right kill anyone. he didn't torture anyone for not supporting him. and besides they had enriched uranium to make nuclear warheads. they had several hundred canisters of nerve gas. hundreds of barrels full of nerve gas agents were dumped into a river . they violated the oil for food program by bribing people the the u.n. and before the war they were even beheading people hmmmm
wtf: are you shiting me??? the war is not killing civilians, terrorists are. the u.s's goal is to eliminate the terrorist threat. to be completely blunt, I LOVE AMERICA it is my country and my home. i support our troops and their cause. who cares if YOU don't support the war, but maybe you should at least support our troops. why dont you just go and die? you damn retard I hope you rot where you stand!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@mikey69er the problem: is that the number of civilians has incrased an enomrous amount since we ousted Saddam. The attack on Iraq has not only completely destabilized the area but has increased the amount of international, specifically muslim, hatred towards us. America is reallt at one of our low points in history and we can only thank Dictator Bush. Fuck him.
@mikey69er it is not bush's fault: sure he could do more to prevent civilian casualties but it is not his fault crazy fucking people like to blow themselves up and take other people with them. bush is NOT putting a gun to terrorists and saying go blow a bunch of people up, he is having the u.s military point guns at them and tell them not to. so dont blame bush. blame those crazy terrorists who rape pillage and torture anyone or anything that looks at them funny.
as expected: ignorant answer like the one below V V V
JVaughn - 2 years ago
Bullshit...: I could make a video and put the civilian casualties as 5, that doesnt mean its true!

what did we all do to stop this?: We are Americans… we don’t want to see this kind of stuff… because we are not the one being killed or hurt… we don’t want to see the realities of war because we want to keep our heads buried in sand… middle eastern people lives on sand we burry our heads in sand.
