umm yeah quick question.: what is the purpose of the horizontal lines above and below the middle line...i don't see him using them at all during the creation of this shim?

bad: movie couldnt tell what you were doing half the time and what do you push the shim down on?

    • Kotah

      Kotah - 2 years ago

@nokevaliu push it down on the side that: popes up through the little crack between the loop and the lock.

You realise: That it's ALUMINIUM, not aluminum, right?

@lilmickAlso: Notjoes tutorial is a lot better than this. Sorry.

@lilmick...: I hope you realize that aluminum and aluminium are the American and English ways (respectively) of saying/spelling the word and both are correct.

This doesnt work: I tried this on 2 types of padlocks. Made about 10 shims exactly like this, and none worked

    • Simba66

      Simba66 - 2 years ago

@Shurikensetimby: ur doin it on the wrong side of the clasp? cuz it worked for me, and like 7 other ppl who tried it

    • PThunder

      PThunder - 2 years ago

wait: after your done making it how do open it?

    • Simba66

      Simba66 - 2 years ago

@IdidNotReadTheTermsOfUsek: ( its in the video, but ill explane it) so after your done making it and shaping it, you put it on the lock ( the side that unlocks when u have the combo) and you slide it down into it. then if you did it right, and u give it a lil tug, it will pop open

  • Simba66

    Simba66 - 2 years ago

settling this once and forall: chek out at 57 seconds on his video, the whole point of the shim is to push it down into the lock so it POPS UP ON ITS OWN, not that you push it down and pull up and it magicly opens... u pulll up at 57 seconds and u open the lock cuz its already on the last number of the combo.. nice try, but mines legit, mine actually works, and i didnt mean to barge into your post, but mine actually works as you can see in my thread, people posted that they trie it and work sorry

@notjoebut: urs doesnt work, and mine is proven to work

    • notjoe

      notjoe - 2 years ago

@notjoe?: how is mine not proven i made the video...it shows me using the pick and opening the lock...i dont know ur reasoning but i would say it works.

    • Simba66

      Simba66 - 2 years ago

@notjoehmm: lets watch your video again, first off , u have the code to the lock on the back, so u could easly have coverd the side of the lock while u just pulled the lock open cuz u already put in the code.. smart one buddy

    • GrimReefer

      GrimReefer - 2 years ago

@notjoeactually: yours are both the same thing, except notjoe's takes less effort. they both operate on the exact same concept; piece of a soda can pressing in the latch. simba's just has more metal to hold on to.
