In June of 2003 Tim Samaras made history by deploying a special probe in the path of an approaching tornado in Manchester, South Dakota. He was within only about 100 yards of the twister when he anchored the probe into the ground. It was a direct hit

    100 yards?: My ass... he was at least 1/2 mile from the twister. Still to close for comfort, but 100 yards and he wouldn't be able to walk.

      @OriginalSpaceManGreat video (if its really yours): ...and I did vote it to homepage... but I have to agree with space man... HE COULDN'T HAVE BEEN 100 YARDS DURING ANCHOR.... NOOOOO WAAAAAAYY... which is what makes me think the video isn't yours becasue you obviously have NO CLUE!!
