I was wondering: why they went faster then they are going now, but then I remember they went faster thenadays because they didn't have as much restrictions as we have now. They had skirts under their car so they would have less drag and more grip (by making vacum under the car) so they could go real fast with low drag.
@MasterFireyes: there are lots of restrictions nowadays.. the tyres make lots of dif.. they usted to be slick, now the arent. lot changed.. now you dont even have false starts because its computerized... Unfurtenly F1 loses fans every year.. including myself, who always watched the gp's and now i just see the highlights

Clermont Ferrand: One of the greatest duels in F1 ever, lord how the sport has degenerated since then. Just one nitpick, they were fighting for 2nd place actually.
@flashmactavishno: this is Gilles Villeneuve(ferrari) vs Rene Arnoux(renault), and its a battle for first place. it was me who posted it and i know what i post. by the way.. you can clearly see in the end of the movie they are the first to cross the finish line.
@flashmactavishClermont Ferrand for sure.: Actually I've seen the original clip without the soundtrack played here, and it was in Clermont Ferrand for 2nd place. Gilles was a god, who would race just as hard for 19th place as he would for first.
