Basically my point is...: If you stayed behind to challange the storm, you have no one else to blame but yourself. Even if you had no where else to go, you could have at least fleed to higher ground. Dont blame the government because you choose to live below sea-level, blame the insurance companies for choosing to cover you and then not paying up when the time has come, THEN blame the government for letting those dickwads get away with it.
This is typical of the "gimme gimme" generation: Katrina was an awful disaster and the outcome and response was delt with in an embarassing manner. However, it did point out a horrible issue we have in the US with people that are 100% reliant on the government to solve everyone of their problems and the attitudes they have towards any type of corporation if government doesnt fullfil that desire.
