the police had no right to slam him to the pavement... no matter what his previous actions... once the threat stops (which it did when he put his hands up and leaned against his van) the police HAVE to tone down the show of force. regardless of his PAST actions.

@Numbah1the threat was over. The kids were out of any harms way, as was his wife. He was not threatening and had his hands held up. The cop simply needed to go over and cuff him. That takedown was uncalled for and I hope the cop is fired. Regardless of what he did, he surrendered. It's not the cops job to dish out punishment, that is for the courts to decide. A cop is SUPPOSED to be a professional and just do his job. They are trained to control their emotions. If he resisted, in ANY way, THEN they can toss his ass

The police were 100% justified in slamming his dumbass to the ground. In fact after speeding at 100 mph with his two kids in the vehicle they should have dragged his punk ass from the vehicle, kneeled on his back and shot him in the back of the head and then taken his body to his mother's house so that she could bury his dumb ass.
