Wingsuit Flying
Wingsuit flying is the sport of flying through the air in a special jumpsuit with fabric between the legs and under the arms. It resembles the “wings” of a flying squirrel. The flyer also has a parachute to aid in landing safely. This safety equipment is similar to that used in skydiving and base jumping.

More Info About Wingsuit Flying
Wingsuit fliers usually start off by either exiting an aircraft or a base jumping site. By using body shape manipulation, the flier can alter his forward speed and fall rate.
The original manufacturer of these special flying suits is called Birdman. They have an elite team of jumpers they call TopGun. This group gives courses, coaching, camera work, demos and air show displays all over the world.
Wingsuit jumping was recently featured in the movie Transformers: Dark of the Moon where a special forces team jumped from the Sears Tower and through the skyscrapers of downtown Chicago. Mountain Dew has also used wingsuit jumpers in their commercials.
