Not long after the invention of the water slide; the slip n slide was born. Slip n slides are sheets of plastic that you put on your lawn, spray water on and slide down. The slip n slide was legendary for those of us who did not have a swimming pool in our backyards. A short amount of time after its introduction, the slip n slide slid its way into our hearts. The fond childhood memories of water slides and slip n slides will be forever engraved in our heads and hearts.
As you can see from the videos, people have taken both the water slide and slip n slide to new heights (literally). These extreme water slides toss people into the air and precise calculations are a must. If a 60 foot slide malfunctions or breaks apart, some one can get seriously injured. Summer is the best time of the year to take the water slide for a spin. But fear not, slides can be incorporated into seasons other than summer. Instead of sliding into a pool of water you can slide into a puddle of mud, snow, leaves, pile of clothes, packing peanuts, bowling pins, teddy bears, water balloons or anything relatively soft. Just remember to record and post your contraption online; but most importantly have fun!
