Jennifer Lopez began her career as a dancer. She can be seen hip hop dancing as a part of the Fly Girls who performed on the sketch comedy show In Living Color in 1990.

Jennifer’s first lead acting role was as the late Spanish crossover artist Selena. The 1997 biopic was made after the 1995 murder of the young Latin pop star, aged 23.

Jennifer starred in a number of minor movies like Anaconda (1997) with Ice Cube and Jon Voight, and Out of Sight (1998) with George Clooney.

Lopez entered into the music industry in 1999 with the release of her first album On the 6.

In 2001, The Wedding Planner, a romantic comedy costarring Matthew McConaughey, began a string of more rom-coms for Jennifer. The week that was released, Lopez also released her second studio album titled J.Lo. She became the first person to have a number 1 album and film in the same week.

In 2003, still referred to as one of the worst films of all time, Jennifer Lopez and, then boyfriend, Ben Affleck, costarred in Gigli. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck together are known as Bennifer, unfortunately.

In June 2004, Jennifer married Latin pop star Marc Anthony. They had twins in 2008, Max and Emme. Jennifer and Marc filed for divorce in July 2011.
