Football Injuries
Football injuries are unfortunate incidents typically involving a great deal of pain for those involved. Football injuries can occur for a variety of reasons, including the ones that generally occur after the following scenarios: a player running into an immovable object, a player being trampled by a herd of stampeding linemen, a player being tackled harder than usual, or a player being tackled and hitting the ground at an awkward angle, resulting in one or more broken bones.

More Info About Football Injuries
The most horrific and gut-wrenching football injuries are usually those that involve a player severely breaking a limb, especially when that limb is turned at a visibly unnatural angle, or when the snapped bone protrudes from skin in a compound fracture. Interestingly enough, these particular injuries are the ones that tend to garner enormous viral video status, such as the now-famous video of Redskins quarterback Joe Theismann fracturing both his tibia and fibula after beings blitzed by a player on the opposing team.
Less horrifying are those injuries in which a player is simply tackled harder than usual, leading to a brief loss of consciousness and oftentimes a concussion. Concussions are a typically hot-button issue at the college and professional levels of the sport, in which officials and team owners have to mitigate the bad press coverage that they receive when a player is hurt due to reckless play. Footage of these incidents is much more bearable to watch, and is often highly entertaining (as you can see from the videos below).
