The Black Eyed Peas were in the process of recording their third album, 2003’s “Elephunk”, when Fergie was asked to try out for the group. Their first major hit, “Where is the Love?” peaked at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100. Their second single “Shut Up” topped the charts in many markets.

The Black Eyed Peas next album, “Monkey Business”, released in June 2005, debuted at number two on the Billboard 200. The album’s first single, “Don’t Phunk with My Heart” reached number three in the US and earned them a Grammy for Best Rap Performance by a Duo of Group.

Fergie’s debut solo album “ The Duchess” was released in September 2006. This album spawned 6 hits for Fergie, “London Bridge”,” Fergalicious”, “Glamorous”, “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, “Clumsy”, and “Finally”. In 2007, Fergie won the Pop or Rock Favorite Female Artist award at the American Music Awards.

Fergie returned to acting in 2006, appearing as a lounge singer in the “Poseidon” remake and later has support roles in 2007’s “Grindhouse” and the 2009 musical film “Nine”.

In January 2009, Fergie married actor Josh Duhamel after 5 years of dating. They met when Fergie and The Black Eyed Peas made an appearance on Josh’s show “Las Vegas”.

The Black Eyed Peas released the single “Boom Boom Pow” from their album “The E.N.D.” in late March 2009. It went to number 1 in the US making it the group’s first chart topper. Their second single from this album “I Gotta Feeling” proved an even greater success than the first.

Fergie launched her debut fragrance, “Outspoken” under Avon in May 2010. She has also launched a line of shoes called FergieFootwear.
