Hundred Tons Of Explosives
This has got to be one of the coolest explosions I have ever seen. They must be miles away but shortly after detonation you can hear particles fly by their heads at incredible speeds.
Explosions: we all love them, as long as we glimpse them from a very safe distance. An explosion occurs whenever the volume and release of energy rapidly increase in such a way as to generate extremely high temperatures and the release of gases. We typically experience this energy transference as gigantic blooms of red and orange fire followed by acrid, black or gray smoke that physicists often describe as “totally freaking awesome”.

Explosions come in all forms, sizes, temperatures, and consistencies. Sometimes, they can represent a chemical reaction as simple as dropping a Mentos brand breath mint (aka The Freshmaker) into a liter bottle of coke; other times, they’re constituted by a chemical reaction on the magnitude of, say, a nuclear bomb, which is the literal manifestation of mankind’s horrifying ability to completely and irrevocably end its own existence. Either way, an explosion can be pretty thrilling! So, watch a few of the firework videos and rednecks harmlessly blowing up their backyards to feel a little better about our love affair with blowing stuff up.
