The worst type of dumb cop is the type who does something dumb while in the midst of a dangerous situation, such as driving in the wrong direction during a high-speed chase or failing to properly wield a weapon during an armed faceoff. In other cases, however, dumb cops will do dumb things in non-threatening situations, providing great entertainment for those who happen to be in the immediate vicinity when the cop’s dumbness takes over. For instance, a dumb cop may fail to engage his parking break and subsequently be forced to chase after his car. In another situation, a dumb cop may simply fall on his face after tripping over some obstacle. This is extraordinarily funny.
