Introductory trivia: the “blonde bimbo” character may have come about in a bawdy French play from the 1700’s called Rosalie Durthy, a blonde French courtesan that had a peculiarly tendency to answer questions very slowly and poorly. Again, for any of you blondes still reading, “courtesan” is just a fancy French word for “cute party girl”. Ms. Durthy answered so slowly that she may actually have been partially “dumb”, meaning unable to speak or form words.
