American recording artist and actress that first hit it big in 1999 with her self-titled album spawning 3 number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 – “Genie in a Bottle”, “What a Girl Wants”, and “Come On Over Baby (All I Want is You)”. Her second studio album “Stripped” (2002), featuring the hit single “Beautiful”, was a commercial success amidst controversy over Aguilera’s image.

Christina began her career on the television show “The New Mickey Mouse Club”. She shared the screen with other young stars like Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Ryan Gosling. She was known as a vocal dynamo because she had such a big voice coming out of such a little girl.
Aguilera has continually changed her public image with each album produced. Her 3rd album “Back to Basics”, was released to positive critical acclaim and included elements of soul, jazz, and blues music. While her fourth album “Bionic”, incorporated aspects of R&B, electropop, and synthpop.
She recently made her feature film debut in the musical “Burlesque” (2010), earning Aguilera a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song.
In 2008, Rolling Stone ranked her #58 on their list of the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time, making her the youngest and only artist on the list under the age of thirty.
In November 2005, Christina married music marketing executive Jordan Bratman. She gave birth to her first son, Max Liron Bratman, in early 2008. Near the end of 2010, Christina and Jordan filed for divorce after a month’s separation.
Christina sang the National Anthem at Super Bowl XLV and famously messed up the words. She previously performed at the halftime show of Super Bowl XXXIV.
She is currently one of the judges on the singing competition show The Voice, along with Adam Levine from Maroon 5, Cee Lo Green, and Blake Shelton.
