Before marrying English football (soccer) player Ashley Cole in 2006, she was known as Cheryl Tweedy. They divorced in 2010 due to his affairs with multiple women. Cheryl decided to keep her married surname because she thought changing it back would seem like she was ashamed of her marriage.
