Burnouts are stunts performed in a car during which the driver makes his wheels spin rapidly without the car moving forward. When executed correctly, a burnout results in copious amounts of smoke being produced as the wheels spin and the tires burn against the pavement. Burnouts are typically performed as a way for the driver to demonstrate how supremely awesome he is and how much power his engine possesses.
