  People, this is nature. Snakes eat other animals. They are carnivores. End of story. They don't make tofu mice and rats for snakes to eat. This is no different than taking a picture of a lion eating a zebra. Get over yourselves.

    @TommieBallGame9.: The fangs retract into the roof of their mouth until they strike. It couls also be a constrictor and they dont have large fangs,

    @Not all snakes have fangs. In fact, only a very small percentage have them. The particular snake in this picture kills by constriction, not venom. The number of ignorant, ill informed, narrow minded people in this world astound me.

    @Also, not all venomous have retractable fangs. Retractable fangs are common in most pit vipers (rattlesnakes, gaboon vipers, american copperheads, etc). Species such as elapids (cobras, mambas, taipans, coral snakes, etc) have short fixed fangs. Other venomous snakes are known as rear fanged snakes (boomslang, mangrove snakes, false water cobras, etc) and they have short, modified teeth in the back of their mouths and the venom is secreted through saliva and/or similar glands.
